Cars registered in NSW must pass an annual roadworthy test to verify the vehicle is safe and ready for the road. Most light vehicles more than 5 years old will require an eSafety check before they can be registered in NSW. Your Registration renewal papers will state whether or not you need an inspection.
A Pink Slip and Roadworthy inspection mainly inspects all the major safety related items like;
- Wheels and Tyres
- Steering, suspension and braking systems
- Seats and seat belts
- Lamps and reflectors
- Windscreen, windows; including front windscreen wipers and washers
- The structure of the vehicle itself
- Other safety related items on the body, chassis or engine
